How to File a Claim with the BCRA
The BCRA will forward financial users' claims to the Consumer Defense Office, provided that they comply with the following:
- They must be “financial consumer services”, which means any natural or legal person that uses, as end users and with no commercial purposes, in their own behalf or in behalf of their family group, any financial services offered by banks, financial companies and/or credit cards.
- They must provide the claim number assigned by the financial institution or credit card issuer involved.
- They must submit a copy of: their ID front and back, the claim filed with the institution, and the answer provided by the institution.
- They may only submit a claim with the BCRA after ten business days have elapsed from the date of the claim with the institution.
