Reported Checks

This database contains information on checks reported as lost, stolen or altered. The information made available here has been furnished as is by financial institutions operating in Argentina, and should not be deemed as validated by the BCRA.

When making a search:

• Verify that the check number is the same in the four parts where it is listed. If you find any difference, the check might have been altered.
• Verify if the number of the branch and of the account shown on the screen agree with those printed on the check since the check number may be repeated in different checking accounts opened with the same bank.
• If an institution appears more than once on the list, you should search for the check in each of the options displayed.
